Bacteriostatic properties definition

Silver-impregnated coconut shell activated carbon specifically designed for bacteriostatic properties and trace removal. It is manufactured from coconut shells by high-temperature steam activation under rigidly controlled conditions. The silver impregnation of carbon imparts bacteriostatic properties that inhibit bacterial growth on the carbon filter media. Silver exhibits a self-sterilizing property called the oligodynamic effect that, although not fully understood, is recognized as an effective method for controlling microbial growth.

Installation Instructions

1. Remove packaging from filter already inserted inside housing for transport, reinsert the filter and tighten with spanner reasonable tightness (align filter inside guides) 
2. Attach 3/8" soft hose tubing to hose tail on housing (wetting hose tail with water will assist pushing on by hand - no clamps required)
3. Attach diverter valve to faucet spout by removing faucet softener from spout, install with outer thread adaptor to fit
4. Calculate position on counter and cut hose to desired length, then push on 3/8" soft hose to diverter valve by hand with application of water to hose tail for ease
5. Flush filter for at least 2 minutes prior to use to flush manufacturing carbon dust 
6. Turn filter housing upside down, turn on water slowly over sink to allow the air to be removed from the filter housing
7. Finished ready to use
